Christian Suffering

Suffering is one of the greatest mysteries and realities of the Christian life. Many believers love God sincerely, pray fervently, walk in obedience, and yet still experience painful trials. Some face persecution. Others battle sickness, rejection, betrayal, loss, delay, disappointment, financial hardship, spiritual warfare, or deep seasons of sorrow. Often, suffering raises difficult questions: Why does God allow His children to suffer? Why do righteous people experience pain? Why are some prayers not answered immediately? How should Christians respond to suffering? Can suffering have divine purpose? How can believers endure without becoming bitter, discouraged, offended, or spiritually defeated?
